Have you ever woken up after a strange dream and wondered what it all meant?
Everyone dreams every night. Even if you think you didn’t, according to Very Well Mind, the brain is active all night long as brain activity in the fore-brain and mid-brain is particularly intense during rapid eye movement (REM) sleep which is a part of our sleep.
Como Un Tronco, the blog about sleep, has analysed the most searched questions about the meaning of dreams on Google in Australia.
According to the results these were the five dreams that came up.

1. Dream about someone
‘Dream about someone’ was the most Googled and had 3,200 searches per month.
According to sleep expert Maya Garcia, she says, “the dream often reflects the dreamer’s desire for a closer relationship with person or unresolved feelings towards them”
It is important to remember however, the dream might mean something completely different depending on if it’s positive or negative.

2. Dream your teeth fall out
Being Googled 2,900 times, ‘teeth fall out,’ was second on the list.
Garcia links it to aesthetic insecurity.
“Although there may be different explanations, this dream affects the smile, which is one of the main elements of a person’s external appearance. Therefore, damage to the teeth is one of the most damaging pathologies, both aesthetically and functionally,” she says.
3. Dreaming of snakes

Snakes were in the dreams of 1,200 searchers according to Google.
According to psychologist Lauri Quinn Loewenberg, “dreaming about them [snakes] indicates the presence of a person who is in out life and who has a toxic or harmful behaviour.
4. Dreaming of being bitten by a snake
If you’re one of the 1000 people who dreamt about being bitten by a snake, it actually has a completely different meaning than just dreaming of a snake.
Loewenberg says, “The bite is similar to a shot being administered, so if a snake bites you in a dream, ask yourself if there are any health issues that are beginning to get better or an emotional wound that seems to be healing.”

5. Dreaming of someone dying
While this a most unpleasant dream, it had 700 searches on Google.
According to the dream experts, ”Dreaming of someone who has already died can be a way of grieving. However, if someone is still alive when you dream of their death can indicate concern or worry for that person.”
