What time do you start to wind down for bed?

I have two energetic toddlers who are normally down by 7.45pm. My ‘wind down’ starts not long after that!

What time do you get into bed?

My head hits the pillow somewhere between 8.30 and 9pm.

Do you have a pre-bed ritual?

I like to meditate just before I head to bed. Sometimes I’ll watch a bit of TV between the time my babies go down and I head off to bed.

Who shares your bed?

My fiancĂ©, Kris. Sometimes the girls will pay us a visit but we’re careful to make sure they end up back in their own bed.

What time do you wake up?

Sometime between 4.45am and 5.30am!

What disturbs your sleep?

If I have sugar before bed I tend to sleep really lightly so can easily get disturbed by Kris during the night!

What do you listen to?

A meditation. Or sometimes the songs my babies love listening to during the day. My eldest is LOVING Destiny’s Child at the moment.

What’s your one tip to getting a good sleep?

Peppermint/herbal tea before bed and no phones in the bedroom!

What’s your sleep position?

On my side, with pillows on either side of me.

What do you wear to bed?

One of Kris’ old, vintage Nike T-shirts.

What do you dream about?

I have no idea! I remember dreaming as a kid but can’t really recall what I dream about now.

Do you take anything to help you sleep better?

Magnesium (‘Relax Into Sleep’).

What gets you out of bed in the morning?

My kids. Or work (if I have a client).

Do you set an alarm?

I set two. The second is set for five minutes after the first.

Do you snooze?

For the five minutes in between my first and second alarms!
