A remarkable victory from Denmark pushed the side into the Euro 2020 round of 16 but it was an off field performance that had tongues wagging on social media.

Denmark have had the craziest of Euro campaigns after Christian Eriksen’s collapse shocked the world in the first game of the tournament.

It looked as though the Danes could be headed for an early exit from the tournament when Finland claimed the 1-0 win in the Eriksen match, before World No. 1 Belgium claimed a 2-1 victory.

But results had fallen Denmark’s way with a thumping 4-1 win over Russia securing the side a place in the final 16 teams.

While it was largely expected that Denmark would make it through in the top two, it was unknown how much of an impact Eriksen’s absence would make and how costly the loss to Finland would be.

Then again, Denmark have some of the best fans around.

Want proof?

A video that has circulated on social media of a Denmark fan wearing a cowboy hat carrying three trays full of beer and a hot dog.

It’s unknown whether he had a bunch of mates he was going to or was just prepping for a big night but it’s one of the great spectator efforts.

The video has 1.8m views at time of writing, with a comment from a friend saying they called him “Power Klaus”.

In the video, he even earns a round of applause from a fan in the stands.

Former British Olympic field hockey gold medallist Samantha Quek was one to tweet the video, calling it “the performance of #EURO2020”.

It was also picked up by Barstool Sports headlined an article “The Most Impressive Highlight Of The Euros So Far Is This Denmark Fan’s Legendary 12 Beers And A Hot Dog Run”.

Social media also debated the cost of the purchase for the man with the price ranging from 80-130 pounds ($A146-238).

No wonder he was being so careful.

Denmark play Wales at the Amsterdam Arena on Sunday at 2am AEST.
