The Etsfmoa beanie with integrated headlamp is an Amazon favorite, boasting more than 18,500 five-star ratings, and right now, it’s on sale for $13. On top of that, the brand is offering a coupon for an additional 35% off at checkout, bringing the total down to just $8—a 72% discount from the original price of $30.

This luminescent beanie from Etsfmoa is, first and foremost, a thick, warm hat. The lamp component, which is completely removable thanks to a snap-in-place mechanism, features four LED bulbs and three different brightness settings with a max output of 150 lumens, plenty of power to brighten up a dark room. Not only is the lamp completely rechargeable thanks to a built-in USB-A connector, but the snap-in-place mechanism also makes the hat easy to wash. We recommend using the gentle cycle setting or simply hand-washing and then allowing it to air-dry.

At first glance, this seems like a very gimmicky product. However, when looking through the reviews and considering common everyday situations, that couldn’t be further from the truth; there are dozens of real-life applications in which wearing this would make sense. For example, some people use this beanie as a safety precaution for cold-weather nighttime running, while others use it for seeing under the hood when working on cars in auto garages that stay open to the elements. Some also use it to see gear shifters when snowblowing.

Many of the reviews describe how well-received this product is when gifted to somebody. One customer, who gifted this beanie to their father, said it was a hit despite their dad being difficult to impress. “This was a gift for my dad, who likes going on runs and walks outside early in the morning before the sun even comes up in the winter, so this was a great gift for him,” they said. “He said it’s very warm and was a great gift (and he is picky) so this was a win.”
