Forget the limited edition Jordans and ultra-rare collabs—some of the most popular sneakers right now are retro classics you can easily buy at the mall. Whether it’s the wildly-popular Adidas Samba, the Stan Smith, or the Nike Dunk, old school is omnipresent. But recently, a lesser-known retro sneaker has been popping up on celebrities, social media pages of in-the-know fashion enthusiasts, and even on dads reliving their high school days—and we found it on sale.

Of-the-moment kicks don’t typically get discounts, but the Reebok Club C 85 in white is on sale right now for as low as $46 on Amazon—up to 34% off the original $70 price. These classic white sneakers are backed by over 3,100 five-star ratings on Amazon from shoppers who are getting them for the first time while others are already on their “eighth pair.” Sizing is limited, so if you see yours we’d recommend acting fast.

Reebok’s Club C 85 sneakers were originally designed to be tennis shoes. They’re neither as lean as the Sambas nor as chunky as Nike Air Force 1s, making them a Goldilocks pick that works with slim and baggy outfits alike. They have a cushioned EVA foam footbed and a leather upper with a perforated design that promotes breathability. Despite their court-ready construction, the cushioned comfort and grippy outsole are also suitable for a day spent on the go.

First introduced in the 1980s, some shoppers appreciated the nostalgia that comes with these sneakers. “Reeboks are fast becoming my favorite sneaker brand,” a shopper wrote. “They’re made well, the leather feels buttery smooth, and, to be honest, they look like a pair I had as a kid in the ’80s.” Another shopper wrote, “They are the same shoe I used exclusively for racketball in the ‘80s. I felt like I found an old friend.”

Many shoppers compared them favorably to other popular sneaker brands. “I got these to replace my On Cloud shoes, so the bar was set very high,” a shopper stated. “They’re super stylish and fit super comfortable. In terms of weight, they’re slightly heavier than On Clouds, but much lighter than Nike Air Force 1s.”

Although they’re pushing 40, it’s safe to say the Reebok Club C 85 is back, and the classic shoe hasn’t lost a step. Whether you wore them in your high school days when they debuted or you’re discovering them for the first time, they remain a timeless white sneaker that’s minimal but not boring. As the trend rises, stock will decrease, so make sure to get yours soon.

The Allbirds Water-Resistant Sneakers That Are ‘Great in Cold Rainy Weather’ Are 30% Off and Ready for Spring

Men’s Journal aims to feature only the best products and services.  If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Many clothing brands are taking sustainability more seriously, but Allbirds takes a ground-up approach to making great sneakers, prioritizing the use of natural and innovative materials like wool and sugarcane while offsetting emissions in the manufacturing process. The brand’s Wool Runner is its signature shoe, featuring a merino wool-blend upper that’s machine washable.

Though wool has many great features, it can lose effectiveness if it gets too wet, which is why Allbirds introduced the Wool Runner Mizzle—a sneaker that uses a bio-based DWR coating that helps repel water. Right now, the Mizzle sneaker is on sale at REI for $87, a 30% savings on the normally $125 shoe. It’s available in whole sizes between 8 and 13, but shoppers say sizing up is the way to go if you’re in between.

These minimalist shoes are well-known for comfort in addition to their eco-friendly sources. They’re made from itch-free merino wool that is ZQ-certified, meaning environmental and animal welfare standards have been met during production. It has a bouncy and lightweight EVA midsole that Allbirds makes from sugarcane rather than plastic. The ergonomic insoles are constructed from castor bean oil-based foam, while the shoelaces are made from recycled plastic bottles. They’re also very soft and can even be worn without socks thanks to the merino wool uppers that are naturally odor-resistant and temperature-regulating,

Even though they’re water-repellent, they likely won’t be the ideal pick for braving a tropical storm as much as they’ll offer peace of mind on overcast days. But if you do get caught in the rain, the fact that they can be easily tossed in the washing machine adds to the convenience and long-term value.

Shoppers were impressed with the comfort and durability of the shoes. “Unlike so many other brands, the quality and consistency of these are amazing,” one shopper said, adding that they’ve bought four pairs over the last decade. Another shopper wrote that the sneakers offer “all-day comfort,” with another noting that they “wear them with and without socks. They look good and hold their shape.”

Others were impressed with the DWR performance, with one calling the shoes “great in cold rainy weather,” and another saying they are “perfect for cold, drizzly Northwestern casual outings.” Another shopper wrote that the shoes were “Scotland tested,” adding that they “made it through the bogs, hikes, and cobblestone streets with comfort and ease.”

If you’re looking for a versatile, water-repellent shoe with an eco-friendly ethos, the Allbirds Wool Runner Mizzle sneaker is the one for you. But we’ve seen other sneakers from this brand sell out quickly, especially when they’re on sale, so act fast to score this substantial discount.

Shoppers Call This Shoe ‘the Cinderella Slipper of Trail Runners,’ and Now It’s on Sale For Less Than $100

Men’s Journal aims to feature only the best products and services.  If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Trail running shoes and hiking sneakers have become an increasingly popular alternative to traditional boots on the trail. Lightweight and nimble yet sure-footed, the right trail runner can tackle just about any terrain while offering the comfort of a sneaker whether you’re taking a leisurely hike or setting an off-road PR.

La Sportiva is best known for its bouldering and climbing shoes, but the brand also makes a variety of trail runners and hiking shoes. Right now, the top-rated Bushido II is on sale for just under $100—a 35% discount off the original price of $155 at REI. This La Sportiva trail running shoe has earned more than 200 five-star ratings and is already mostly sold out in two of the three available colors. As an Italian label, sizes are listed in European measurements, so you’ll want to consult the size chart.

The Bushido II may be an ankle-cut, minimally cushioned style, but it’s deceptively rugged and capable of conquering technical trails. The outsole has a deep rubber tread for secure steps on rocky ground, and the lugs extend around the sides of the midsole, adding extra protection on sloped or uneven terrain. The TPU bumper also protects the toes from dings. And though the shoes are not waterproof, the traction is capable of traversing wet or dry ground, making it a great shoe for hiking after a fresh rainfall.

It’s minimally cushioned, similar to the brand’s climbing shoes, and only has a 6mm drop. That means you’ll be able to naturally feel the ground as you run or hike, but the ample traction and protection will keep you from feeling the ground too much.

Shoppers were impressed with the versatility of the shoes, with one calling them “the Cinderella slipper of trail runners,” adding, “This is the last hiking-oriented trail runner I will ever buy, and I’m tempted to buy a dozen pairs to hoard in case they’re discontinued or changed.” Another commended how the Bushido II held up in varied settings, writing, “I use this shoe for most of my outdoor stuff: trail running, day hiking, backpacking on smoother trails, road running under six miles.”

These shoes were particularly popular among those with narrow feet, which is something to keep in mind if you have wider feet. One wrote, “I have narrow feet and have trouble finding shoes that I don’t swim in. These fit like a glove.” Another wrote, “They are perfect for my long narrow feet, very comfortable and have [terrific] grip.”

Whether you’re looking for a trail runner for tricky terrain or a versatile sneaker for daily hikes, La Sportiva’s Bushido II is a compelling option that’s an even better score now that it’s 35% off. We’re expecting this trail shoe to sell out soon with sizes remaining in just one colorway, so act quickly to get yours.

You Can Snag These Nike Metcons for Under $100 Right Now—but Do It Quickly

Men’s Journal aims to feature only the best products and services.  If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Nike is fresh off a sale that saw huge discounts on Air Max, Jordans, and Blazers, among other popular styles. But with many guys now heading back to the gym, it’s the brand’s running and training shoes that have come into focus. While running styles like the Free Run and Pegasus have earned their respective followings, the Metcon, a comparatively newer style, is being realized as the better Nike option for lifting, CrossFit, and other training exercises. Right now, two styles are on sale for less than $100.

Don’t misunderstand—Nike running shoes are still the right option for pure cardio workouts, but most people don’t stick to just cardio. The way the sole of a running shoe is designed doesn’t account for omnidirectional stability, which is required for safe and successful weightlifting, quick and jolty pivots, and interchanging types of workouts.

That’s where the Metcon comes in. This line of athletic shoes was originally designed with cross-training in mind because the needs for that type of activity weren’t being properly met. Metcons have a wider base and a strong inner core that helps to more evenly distribute weight when under pressure. Styles also include details like grippy rubber wraps or flexible sole cuts that help with things like climbing or advanced footwork, depending on the workout.

To get the absolute most out of the Nike Metcon, check out one of these styles that’s now on sale for under $100.

The Nike Free Metcon 4 combines the best parts of the Nike Free running shoes with the aspects cardio-forward cross-trainers need to perform, like a wider base and a reinforced heel. This training shoe has a very breathable mesh upper, in anticipation of hardcore drills that would warm the foot. For lifting, it offers a soft foam core that absorbs shock while a more rigid outer layer provides the stability needed to feel secure mid-rep.

What Shoppers Are Saying: “These are the best shoes for training. Period. I love these more than the Metcon 8. They fit well and perform incredibly when strength training, HIIT, and full-on cardio. I can even sprint in these and they grip well and move well with my foot.”

The Nike Metcon 8 Amp is the better option for heavy lifting and works wonders for CrossFitting. Like the Free Metcon 4, it has a breathable mesh upper to regulate the temperature of your feet while putting them through rigorous activity. But unlike the other, its sole is less flexible. While the shoe is well-cushioned thanks to Nike React foam, the slight increase in rigidity and firmer inner plate means even more stability and better weight distribution when under pressure while lifting. The rigidity is also due to the Metcon’s rubber wrap, which Nike describes as the perfect tool for climbing ropes. Otherwise, it provides excellent grip on the ground when working on a cable machine.

What Shoppers Are Saying: “I bought these with the intent to use them as a good all-around training shoe. If I needed shoes that were exclusively for lifting at the gym, these would be it. They stick to the ground, they’re nice and flat, and they have a generous amount of structure around the ankle. If you’re doing squats and deadlifts, probably a great shoe for that!”

Reebok’s Classic Nylon Sneaker ‘Looks Great With Just About Anything’ and Is Just $53 Right Now

Running shoes are some of the best options for walking, and they provide excellent support for a day spent on your feet or the go. The problem is that the performance-minded design of modern running shoes can ruin the look of casual outfits. That’s why retro runners make some of the best casual shoes.

One vintage-inspired style you should have on your radar is Reebok’s Classic Nylon sneaker, which features a sporty yet versatile design. Right now, you can score this old-school sneaker in Pure Grey/White for just $53, over $20 off the regular $75 price. It’s available in men’s sizes between 7.5 and 12 and is designed to run true to size.

Like most of the shoes in Reebok’s Classics line, these feature the Reebok logo next to the Union Jack, for a vibe that’s as British as arguing about Blur and Oasis in a pub. But despite its English roots, Reebok has become a global brand, making shoes for everyone from Shaq to Sigourney Weaver’s Ripley character in Aliens. Their worldwide appeal is reflected by the fact that the British-founded brand was formerly owned by German sneaker giant Adidas and is now based in the US.

The Classic Nylons feature a grippy rubber outsole for comfort on a variety of surfaces, and the mix of nylon and suede materials makes the shoes comfortable, stylish, and more versatile than the all-leather version. The sneakers also feature an EVA midsole and a padded foam sockliner for cushioned comfort.

Shoppers were impressed with the comfort of these shoes, with one writing that they were “very comfortable to walk in,” and another writing, “I walk on concrete all day and these shoes give great support.” The style was also a selling point, with one shopper writing that the shoe “looks great with just about anything.” Shoppers mentioned returning to this style after wearing them when they first came out, with one writing, “I had these in the ’90s and I loved them. I still love them.”

The Reebok Classic Nylon is big on ’90s style, and at just $53 on Zappos, they’re available for a ’90s price, too.

These Bestselling Hey Dude Shoes That ‘Have Proven Almost Indestructible’ Are Up to 41% Off on Amazon

Men’s Journal aims to feature only the best products and services.  If you buy something via one of our links, we may earn a commission.

Despite the various men’s shoe trends that cycle every year, comfort styles are here to stay. Brands like Hoka and On have taken center stage in the athletic scene, but running shoes aren’t always the most appropriate option. That’s how so many guys have found Hey Dude shoes—and right now, the most popular style is under $40.

The Hey Dude Wally Sox slip-on sneaker is on sale for as low as $36 on Amazon—a discount of up to 41% off the original price of $60. This is Amazon’s No. 1 bestselling style in the men’s slip-ons and loafers category, which makes sense after reading through the 109,000+ five-star ratings. As with all shoe deals on Amazon, price varies by color and size, but most of the Wally Sox are discounted to some degree.

The shoe itself is pretty simple. The Hey Dude Wally Sox is a round-toe, slip-on shoe made from a breathable fabric upper and elastic laces that allow guys to wiggle their toes freely without feeling restricted. The sole of the shoe is made from a lightweight rubber material that’s flexible and bouncy. What’s immediately noticeable when you slip a pair of these on is how much it weighs—as little as five ounces—practically nothing.

Guys love these because of the shoe’s simplicity but also because of just how many options there are. For example, in the Wally Sox style alone, you can pick from 58 colorways, which is an ungodly but very fun amount of options to choose from. Once you’ve chosen your ideal color(s), it’s all uphill from there. These shoes are one of the most suitcase-friendly pairs you could ever pack because of their weight and flexibility. They toe the line between casualwear and office-appropriate. But they’re also fully machine-washable, which, for an inexpensive shoe, is nearly unheard of.

The resounding consensus among reviews seems to be that they’re comfortable, cool-looking, and a great value for the amount you pay. Many have attributed the overall value to the surprisingly high-quality design. “These are my absolute favorite shoes,” a shopper said. “They slip on quickly and have proven almost indestructible. Wear them for work and play with equal joy. They wash well just as advertised and have held up to my daily wear incredibly well.”

Shoppers have also commonly found themselves picking up multiple colors because they’ve been so impressed with their first pair. “I have a collection of Hey Dudes now,” a shopper admitted. “They are so versatile and comfortable. My go-to shoes for most occasions. Highly recommend everyone get at least one pair.”

It’s for these reasons and so many more that shoppers have continued to love Hey Dude’s Wally Sox slip-on shoes. And while we don’t expect sizes to completely sell out, we do expect the discount to disappear. So if you’ve been looking for your next comfortable go-everywhere shoe, pick up a pair in one of the nearly 60 colors for as low as $36 and feel good about it.
